Art and Decay #3, Cisco, Utah

The side wall of a gas station in Cisco Utah. 20 years earlier it had been the site of an art installation by University of Utah students. When I first visited in 1996, I took a photo of the gas station, the students' murals already fading. Ten years later, this close-up. The alternating layers of art and decay add richness, make opportunities for new art, and tell stories about people and time.
